Season's greetings,
It's been a long time since a news update. Much of that time has been spent taking care of matters outside of music and thus I have not gotten much done in the music department.
However, a couple months ago I did create an early mix version of a long-form track which is currently playing on StillStream radio. The track, "Mind's Eye Sacrifice" clocks in at 56:00 and is being featured in rotation on StillStream's radio. Denver-based label Gestalt may be releasing a re-mixed and extended version of this song with the alternate title of "Hostless Ghosts" (the current working title anyway). The extended version runs over 72:00 in length. Details will be announced later as they develop.
Preliminary collaborative work has started on the 3rd release with IXOHOXI.
Also, preliminary solo work has begun on an as-yet-untitled solo release.
So, 2006 could see 3 Numina releases if all goes as planned.
Finally, the 3rd loop library produced for SONY Acid is now released. Available Light: Natural Music for Cinema is geared toward strange sonic beats, film themes, and ambient soundworlds. It's my personal favorite of all the loop libraries I've produced and the feedback I've received so far has been great.

Greetings. Word from Hypnos is that Eye of the Nautilus will be released by the end of May 2005! The period in which this album was recorded was a difficult one. Many personal obstacles and challenges made the results of Eye of the Nautilus all the more personal and, in the end, gratifying to have produced. The music on this album truly was an escape as well as a means for experimentation into different themes and sound design. Guest artist Rudy Adrian supplies some of his special ambiance to the track "Secrets from the Flame", and as with Sanctuary of Dreams, R. Chris Fraley has graciously supplied his masterful artwork for the album art, special thank you to M. Griffin for the support, mastering, and art layout.

It's been awhile since my last post to the "News" here, a lot has happened since the last post. Work on the solo release "Eye of the Nautilus" on Hypnos Recordings is nearly complete. I had an abundance of material and am having to find ways to edit down the songs to fit on the CD!

It's official! Hypnos will be releasing the forthcoming Numina release titled "Eye of the Nautilus",
Anticipated release date some time in November or December 2004.
Coming soon, the long anticipated follow-up to the IXOHOXI/Numina
collaboration, "Starfarer's Tales Vol. II",
Also in the works is a collaboration with Mike VanPortfleet (Lyciummusic.com) with an estimated release date of early 2005.

Greetings! If you've gotten to this point
you've discovered the new website and domain for the music of Numina. In
anticipation of two new label releases, I decided to organize the Numina
website into a cleaner and more appealing package for information,
promotion, and enjoyment (hopefully) for all. This site will continue to
evolve to include additional features and information as events unfold.
I will attempt to keep this site updated as often as possible, but
generally new news information will appear a couple times a month.
Several items to note, including the forthcoming release Sanctuary of Dreams on Hypnos Recordings has been confirmed sent to the manufacturer and should be released by the end of April or early May. Pre-release promotional copies of Sanctuary of Dreams have been sent out yielding several reviews and may be read here: SoD Reviews, additionally, there are audio sample snippets on the Music Page.
Earlier this week, the audio master of my collaboration with Caul titled Inside the Hollow Realm was hand delivered to the head of Gestalt Records. This release is going to the manufacturer any day once the artwork is finalized and reviewed. Inside the Hollow Realm is scheduled to be released Tuesday June 1, 2004. Working with Caul has been a great experience and I hope you will all agree.
Also look for a release by The Unquiet Void titled Poisoned Dreams in which I played a significant role in music collaborative elements. This was a great experience working with The Unquiet Void. It's apparent that with each collaboration I am involved with opens new doors to creativity and new ideas as well and a stronger bond with the fellow collaborator. I don't know when Poisoned Dreams is scheduled to be released, so keep an eye out at Middle Pillar for dates and information.
My current musical endeavors include work on the follow-up to my collaboration with IXOHOXI. Starfarer's Tales Vol. II picks up where Vol. I left off, with an emphasis on rhythm and even deeper spaces. Release date is undetermined at this time, and is scheduled to be released through mixonic.com
Additionally, I am planning to start working on another solo release which is still in the preliminary stages, but it is confirmed that guest appearances by Rudy Adrian and possibly Biff Johnson will be a part of this release. Look for this late Summer early Fall.
